"La Maldita Infamia" is an independent musical project founded in the year 2000 in Caracas, Venezuela, by Rodolfo Sarmiento (Trismegisto/Dark). It evolved from an individual musical initiative to a fully-fledged band around 2004. The project can be classified within the rap hardcore genre, with strong influences from rock and metal. Originating from Coche, the group distinguished itself from its first appearance by aiming not to entertain the audience but to shock them, marking a significant departure within the hip-hop scene.

Despite the members' insistence on not considering themselves as traditional rappers, the aggressive style of their lyrics and stage presence quickly propelled them to a prominent position in the music scene. Their lyrical narrative covers a wide range of topics, including science, religion, politics, economics, demography, history, occultism, ufology, and various speculative and unusual subjects. Additionally, the everyday life of the fast-paced and violent Caracas environment is a recurring theme in their lyrics.

Through their songs, La Maldita Infamia explores the premise that man, the most interesting and complex animal, has evolved into the most perverted and corrupt. As they perceive themselves with a superior consciousness compared to other animals, they establish themselves as supreme and divine. The creation of the concept of divinity, where some erected effigies of gods, assimilates them into this concept, seeing nothing superior to their own Dionysian tendencies.

La Maldita Infamia presents a unique and provocative musical project that delves into deep and controversial themes, exploring the complexities and darkness of human nature through their aggressive and impactful music and lyrics.
